Two Weeks To Go!

All is on track and the plan is coming together…

Well everyone only 2 more weeks until we take off, of course we are all getting very excited and jumping out of our skin for the big day to get here ASAP. The training is still going well and all good on the injury front. Blair’s foot is back to 100% and he’s back to full training both at the gym and on the track. Dwight also is now 100% and is looking like a triathlete at the top of his game. The rest of us are feeling great and still hard at training before we all start to taper off our training in about 7-10 days. During the taper off period we will still be going on short walks  and keeping ourselves loose and limber so that  we arrive in Kathmandu fresh and our bodies raring to hit the Himalayan track.

We are heading up to Brisbane on Wednesday night to meet with Amanda at World Expeditions to sort out our final paperwork and pick up our tickets and final instructions for meeting with our Nepalese guides in Kathmandu. All our gear is being prepared and we’re  double checking our lists to make sure we haven’t forgotten anything. The sales guys at Mountain Designs are now all driving better cars due to the spending spree that the Rockstars went on so that we were all kitted up with the best possible gear.

So all seems to be on track and the plan is coming together. We’ll keep you informed over the next couple of weeks on all our last-minute training antics and with any dramas we may encounter. Thanks for all well wishes and “are you crazy” comments we have been getting as every bit of encouragement helps keep us all focused.
