We had the honour to be invited to the local school in Namchee Bazaar, Shree Himalaya Primary School which was set up by Sir Edmund Hilary in 1957. The Principal of the school was delighted to meet with us and arranged an immediate entire school assembly, all of the children came out of their classes to meet us with great enthusiasm.  They have obviously never met a group of Rockstars before!

The Lang and Walker children attend AB Paterson College and before we left on our journey AB Paterson Principal Mr Brian Grimes presented us with our school flag to take along. The Namche Bazaar school students and staff was more than happy to pose for photos with Dwight & I and our school flag  The children then sang the Nepalese national anthem with great pride and vigour – we responded with our thanks and promise to bridge the gap between our two schools with letter writing and sharing of cultures.

We then left donations for school supplies and as the children ran off back to class they gave us high fives, smiles and laughter.  It was a highlight of our adventure.
