Mountain bike repairs $200…..New elbow & knee pads $130….. Multiple stitches and hospital fees $360…..The look on my face when I saw my front wheel fall off as I went over a log…..Priceless!!
We were mountain bike training this morning for the adventure race in 2 weeks when my bike had a total malfunction, I seem to have broken the “Flux Capacitator” which connects my front wheel to the bike…..as you can imagine it all went down hill from there. Alls good with nothing broken just a few bruises and scrapes and 5 stitches in my left arm.
Keep you all informed on the progress on training and the main event in 2 weeks…..cheers Mike

You just can’t keep a good man down. They are impressive photos. You have now officially joined an elite group of riders who for what they lack in skill we make up for in padding. It wasn’t what I had in mind for your first real MTB outing. So now that you’ve got that out of the way, we can concentrate on real training.
Torpedo 7 have only today placed the good quality ‘661 evo’ knee and elbow pads on special and would recommend shin guards as well.
Love your work Dog, a Wellauer would have passed out cold and required a chopper lift out.

You really are a brave man – waking up your wife on the only day she can sleep in to let me know you are on your way to hospital and then having to tell Bailey that you were riding his bike!
