Message from Blair
Ebc blog 🙂 Another sub zero wake up but not a cloud in the sky and 360 degree mountains, again feeling we are walking with the gods!, today we were off the beaten track, even our guide with 15 years up here had not done this track. We started off saying goodbye to the cooks and Sridhar then off, we crossed yak pastures which had a distinct Scottish flavor with stone fences and huts, then crossing a landslide which Dave tried to make happen again by pushing rocks off!!!, then crossed a glacier which was awesome. But alas we were crossing new ground and could not find a river crossing so our 3 hour shortcut turned into a 6 hour marathon which can I say seriously kicked all our butts!! So I am now sitting in Dingboche at 4343 meters enjoying the sun in a teahouse rock on!!! The boys have recovered and this has been our biggest day so far!!! See you all soon, Blair
