Message from Gizzie (Garry)
Hi Lisa , Its my turn for the blog today:)) This morning we all woke to a white out , couldn’t see 5 metres in front of us ! We all walked down towards the river line along the side of mountains gradually coming past massive peaks pushing through the clouds . We spotted the Nepal national bird (the Daphe) it’s a most beautiful bird , we were very lucky to see it. We also we spotted a pack of vultures circling us L Walking through magnificent Forests and peaks we stopped for lunch after a very steep decent (sore legs) After lunch we prepared ourselves for our hardest ascent so far. It wound its way up and up and up, we saw the start of a river which was iced up,very cool!! . All of the boys hooked up their music for motivation up the mountain , it worked a treat , we all made it !!! Yeehaa !!!. The views from Tengbouche monastery were breathtaking .We entered the monastery and took pictures and gave them donations, the monks were amazed by our generosity. We then headed down into the valley towards camp Wow what a treat we saw a few musk deers and then crashed at camp with views of Everest
Ama Dablam (Mothers Necklace.) Kicked around the rugby ball that Mike bought along with our crew โ they loved it. We also heard 2 avalanches in the early morning hours โ awesome sound. All the best from the Rockstars. Gizzie (aka Garry)
