The Walking Begins

Altitude is now being felt by all and pace has slowed off. One. Step. At. A. Time. is how we are climbing the steep sections. Namche bazaar is very quaint and is like stepping back 100 years. Lots of tea houses every few km’s selling just about everything. Very cheap and plenty of haggling going on. Porters doing an awesome job carrying about 50kg each. Which is just amazing! Staying here tomorrow to acclimatise as air is now quite thin. Food is great and plenty of it. Lots of potatoes rice lentils and variations of same. Some snow yesterday which was awesome for the walk up. It is close to 0 degrees most of the time and nights are below 0. It will get much colder now we into the mountains. We will climb past the tree line soon and will need all the gear we brought to stay warm! Scenery is amazing and the height and scale of the mountains cannot be explained or captured on film. They are HUGE! Everyone is fine and no injuries or problems.
